OB400 is a data fiber optical transceiver with four separate series data transmission channels,
the device can form high reliable dual fiber/single fiber self-healing ring data transmission network, can also form multi-nodes bus cascade network. This data optical transceiver can not only be used in road monitoring,
but also other places where data gathering is needed,
such as electric power monitoring data gathering, industrial process control and so on.
The network holds a maximum of 128 units of OB400 data optical transceivers.
OB400 can form dual fiber self-healing ring(dual ring), this ring has two data links, named ring A and ring B, data flow direction of two rings is reverse.
Normally, only primary ring (ring A) works, and when breakdown occurs in fiber or device,
data flow will change direction before arriving the breakdown device, and finish transmission by auxiliary ring(ring B), thus providing uninterrupted communication. In this mode, data flow is complete, transparent and faultless data transmission
is guaranteed.
OB400 has perfect network management function and nodes’ operating status and environmental status can be displayed:

In addition, OB400 provides open network management protocol, users can easily integrate OB400's network management data into users’ uniform management platform.

OB400 data fiber optic transceiver is used to connect asynchronous central computer/controller and several remote workstation/terminals.
They are connected with each other via fiber. Primary node receives data from central computer, and sends data to remote sub node,
and finally reach remote device (computer/controller/terminal). Remote node receives data from remote device (computer/controller/terminal),
and send it to central host.
OB400 data optical transceiver provides full duplex RS232 data port, or full duplex four wire RS422/485 data port, also two wire half-duplex RS485 port. Transmitting data transparently with the maximum full duplex speed of 256Kbps (RS422).
OB400 can provide these configurations as follows:
Repeater configuration:
It is mainly used for extending transmission distance
Point-to-point transmission:
This is the easiest and most common configuration, can implement multi-channel data point-to-point transmission.
Multi-node bus cascade technology:
This is a cost optimization plan, suitable for application along railway, freeway, oil line or gas line.
Data from primary node is sent to all sub nodes, but only one sub node returns response.
Dual fiber/single fiber self-healing ring technology:
This is a high reliable data transmission technology, can automatically revive operating in
a short time when some node breakdown occur or some fiber fracture. After breakdown is removed,
system automatically revives the normal operating status.
